Comets and Asteroids Visited by Spacecraft

Graphics showing all comets and asteroids visited by spacecraft as at 1 February 2019. Images and distances are not to scale. However, the images have been been scaled and laid out to give a rough idea of increasing size and distance.

Trans-Neptunian Object 486958 Arrokoth is not included, but as at 1 January 2019, it became the farthest object in the Solar System to be visited by a spacecraft, at 44.58 AU. A new graphic depicting all of the small Solar System bodies visited by spacecraft will be prepared in due course.
